so um. yeah.
Nov. 23rd, 2008 03:53 pmI handed in my thesis Monday, but I doubt I'll get a passing grade. Everything up to the actual analysis part was good (enough) and I know if the entire thing had been that level I would've passes no problem, but the analysis was way too short, and basically sucked. Everybody's been saying that I'm too hard on myself etc, but well, I know what I wrote, and it sucked. So. That's horrible, and I feel like a huge failure whenever I think about it, so I try not to. Especially because I'd worked so hard! I'd been at the school every morning at 7 or earlier to 5 for the last while, and before that, I'd been there from 9-5 every day. I barely slept the last two days. (The last night I slept exactly 20 minutes, after I got a friend to call me so I knew I'd wake up.) *sigh*
In other, much better news: Stine and I threw a party Friday, that really fucking rocked. 25-30 people, we had brownies, mini pizzas, pigs in blankets, chips and candy and we closed to door behind the last people at 6 in the morning. Also, you know you've had a party when 25-30 people drink:
ahahahaha, omg that sucked carrying down from fourth floor. Also, one of the guys from climbing - who's very straight - and I have sort of started flirting. well, we kind of had before, but he had steady girlfriend (they'd been together for years) up until like, two months ago and so. I had the climbers over about six months ago, and while the others went home around 2-3, he didn't leave until 6:30. There's definitely something there, and Stine even commented on it, but we're both sort of hesistant. Possibly because we haven't been together alone since then. hmm.
In other good news, I start work tomorrow. My oldest cousin is part of Scandinavian DesignLab, and she called me while I was working on my thesis. They needed a general office slave since they'd been left hanging by the two earlier people they'd employed, and she knew I'd be done (well. I'm not really, but I told her and she seems cool with it) by now, and asked if I wanted to come work for her for a few months, get some experience and make a little money, you know. My contract runs until the end of February, with the option to extend it, if both parts find out that this works for us. The pay isn't anything to write home about, but it's still more than I've been making, and it'll look sweet on my CV. Plus, I can look for job in the meantime, and if I don't find anything, I can possibly stay on there. I'm pretty excited.
Of course, I'm still officially employed at both the bakery and by Teach Train. Awkward.
So how are you?

Sep. 21st, 2008 01:31 pmSo, Friday night:
The stand-up was awesome. He's so sharp and observant, and so, so funny. The party was pretty good. I had a nice little buzz (I was drunker than I thought, but it was nice) but it was a masters party for 3 CBS (Copenhagen Business school) graduates, and my god, most of the guys were in suits. It was a little strange, at a club. Stine, Ann and some of her guys who came later snuck out around 2 - they were going dancing, and I was SO in the mood, but I'm happy I didn't go.
( Saturday: with pictures so you will feel sorry for me. ;p )
Aaand then I went home, in hopes of sweet, sweet sleep. Unfortunately, upstairs neighbors were having a party where they played some more of their bad music and with me only getting the base through the floor, it was a really annoying thumping. HOWEVER. That wasn't the worst. On the ground floor (you know, four floors down from me) the girl living there had her 25th birthday party. There was singing. and for some reason, what sounded like SEVERAL HAND DRUMS. I am sadly not kidding you. But it was okay. They stopped after half an hour. ...
Also: Dear makers of the delicious "Spicy Mexican chicken bites": Yum. Awesome Sunday lunch, and really crispy. However, not being an authority on Mexican food or anything, I can still say that the sweet chili sauce you sent with the chicken isn't usually something I'd associate with mexican food. But it was good.

Oct. 2nd, 2007 11:36 pm>_< HOLY CRAP. screw yoga tomorrow. I pulled a muscle in my thigh the other day, trying to do this move she taught us last dance class, and it's been sort of sore ever since. then tonight we had to do the same move ( we do it once up to the mirror and back again ) about, oh, 20 times? and I pulled the same muscle. OW! :/ I realize that it probably would do it good to be all stretched and stuff, and if were a more relaxed yoga teacher and not like, a yoga nazi, I would have gone, but I know he wouldn't think it was a good excuse and totally not give me a break, so.
also, that class ends at 10:30, and I have to be at work an hour early, noon, and it would be kind of rushed. SO.
sleeping in tomorrow morning, and cleaning up, doing the dishes, and the work, and then climbing after that. :)

Aug. 19th, 2007 09:52 pmso lj, you won't believe what happened at work yesterday.
( I can't remember the last time I was this furious. )
but! thankfully it hasn't all been bad. My aunt works at the new Royal Opera house and got tickets to a dress rehearsal to a play, and Stine came here and I made dinner, and she'd brought sodas and popcorn and candy, and we sat on the very top balcony, all by ourselves, stuffing our faces, and it was pretty damn awesome, even if it was somewhat convoluted, esoteric and had too many god metaphors.
also, the concert on friday night was good. well, it was some of that new wave electronica that all sounds the same to me, and that you can't dance to, but we had pizza/strawberry cake ( courtsey of the bakery, I came directly from my shift ) dinner at Mette's and because I am, in fact, super awesome, I managed to con us some free beers.
Yesterday would have been Grandpa and Grandma's 62nd anniversary so grandpa payed for and mom cooked a super nice dinner.
next two weeks where again, I had hoped to have only two shifts per week I have 4 or 5 long and or very early shifts, but it's much better than having to work with that hoebag. plus, the money is going to be SO GOOD. I should be able to buy this bag I've been eyeing for a while.
speaking of buying, Americans, can I ask you to take a look at that last part of this post? it's my sister's 21st on the 16th of next month, and there are some make-up things I'd like to giver her that you can't buy here. I'd pay for everything, of course, via paypal or whatever's easiest for you. thanks!

Aug. 19th, 2007 03:25 pmman. it's past three, and I only got up like, half an hour ago, and that was only to go get some food. I have now moved the few meters from my bed to my couch where I am camped out in front of the tv with nachos with the works. yum!
but seriously, this whole working all week and catching up on sleep on sunday thing? not cool. it's gotta stop. sadly it won't until school starts, but at least I'm making a shitload of money. mmmmmm, monies.

Aug. 15th, 2007 08:05 pmOMG. this was supposed to be a really productive week with only two days of work, and me being really awesome around the house. instead, I basically stayed in bed with fic all monday and tuesday, and I agreed to take two more shifts, so I have work the rest of the week.
comments will--- um. be answered, sometime. catching up seems like it's probably not gonna happen. >_<
god, and I have to be up at five tomorrow. why do I do this to myself?

Aug. 2nd, 2007 06:58 pmdear lj, I don't mean to ignore you. I had all intentions of answering comments and reading the 5346547567878 tabs that I have open today when I came home from work, but you see New Chick ( who isn't all that new anymore but still pisses me off ) called around the time her shift started to say that she had was sick and had some kind of check up, so she couldn't come. I offered to stay, since well, it's summer and we're understaffed when everybody's there, and right now 4 of the girls are on vacation.
basically, I worked from 6:45-18:30 which is---- god, a lot of hours. and tomorrow from 6:30-15:00, and I have to work three of those hours with Not New But Still Annoying Chick, and I am telling you, with the stunt she pulled today, she better fucking show up tomorrow, I don't care if both her legs or arms or back is broken, she will show up on fucking time for her shift tomorrow and if there isn't some major ass-kissing going on from her side, really, she'll be dead to me. ( well. she's been semi-dead to me since the beginning, but you know, she would be dead, salted and burned. )
in short: I will eat dinner, and go to bed. hopefully I will be home not too late tomorrow. *keels over*
ETA: I can't believe I forgot this: I gave a guy some wrong change - ONE DKK, which is less than 25 cents. ( it's 18 cents, I just calculated it. heh. ) and he was SO rude and condescending. He said, 'how much was I supposed to get back?' and I told him, and he put the change on the counter and said, 'well does this look like that?' and then I told him to calm the down and talk nicely, and then on the way out? he gave me the finger.
... we're talking about a guy my dad's age, by the way, not some young punk.

Jun. 20th, 2007 07:49 pmwork : - New Chick didn't suck today! it's a miracle!!! oh maybe Boss lady just got sick of my bitching and finally talked to her. either one. And since I know that my mood was 53496547467 times better today than the previous four or five time we've worked together since I didn't have to do, you know, everything - *twice* - I hope that NC will get the idea and continue on to not just not sucking, but maybe even, dare I say it --- being cool? we shall see.
school : - um. so. 20-25 pages for monday. I can do it. .... HALP.
fannishness : people just have to post big bang stories and update all the WIPs I'm reading right now, huh? >_< I don't have time to read fic!!
life : there is no such thing.
