So, Friday night:

The stand-up was awesome. He's so sharp and observant, and so, so funny. The party was pretty good. I had a nice little buzz (I was drunker than I thought, but it was nice) but it was a masters party for 3 CBS (Copenhagen Business school) graduates, and my god, most of the guys were in suits. It was a little strange, at a club. Stine, Ann and some of her guys who came later snuck out around 2 - they were going dancing, and I was SO in the mood, but I'm happy I didn't go.

Got up at 6. IT WAS DARK OUTSIDE. In the summer, 6AM is still 6AM, but it's light outside, and the birds are singing, but I really hate it so much in the winter when it's still NIGHT. Went to work early, and although there weren't as many bees/wasps (what is the difference? I'm never quite sure) as the previous weeks and they've even removed the electric killing machine thing, I did manage to get stung before I was even on the clock.

I was reaching for the papers we get with the truckload of bread in the mornings and the bee/wasp was ON TOP OF MY FINGER I wasn't even squishing it or anything, and it still stung me. Grrr. I killed it. *grumble* I think I got the stinger out with the suction thingamabobber but ick. the sting hurt, but after that it didn't hurt - as opposed to the sting I got last time, on my chest that kept hurting all day. but now my finger is really swollen and the skin is like, tense and tight and it itches like crazy. Also, in a weird way, the whole finger feels a little numb. It's weird. The sting itself doesn't hurt, but it kind of stings, if that makes any sense.

(also, it might just be the rampant self-pity talking, but I think it's gotten more swollen since I took the picture. I can't stretch it out completely, and I can't bend it either. like, I can bend the joint that's closest to the hand, but the other joints won't bend at all.)

(Yeah. I actually broke my camera, taking this picture. >_<)

Then, ten minutes later, still not officially on the clock, I got the side of my hand caught between two of the plastic case the bread and pastry comes in. I looked up this word: blood-blister, although this isn't really blistery. (In danish the name has to do with pinching.)

Ow. :/

I also achieved 2 papercuts, and my feet were sore cause I'd work high heels (4,5 inches. Which made me. Um. 5'5". :P ) And then, you know, I was about to make some whipped cream for one customer's hot chocolate, when the hand mixer started acting weirdly. The actual beaters were stuck together, because the plastic the were sitting in had broken. I took a hold of the beaters while leaning on the metal sink, and I totally got jolted.

...

To top that off, they sent me another newbie to work with. Sweet girl, very sweet, but it was like, her third day at work, we were busy, and she did everything very. slowly.

I went to my sister's birthday party straight from work. I was there a little early to help out. The guy who she was having the party with was doing all the cooking while she was running around doing her hair and make-up. I hadn't expected anything else. *g* I hung out with her 'old' friends, I really like those girls. Then I helped sis with the dishes and she was very grateful. "Let's not tell mom about this, okay?" (mom had warned her not to take advantage of me being there, but of course I'm going to help. Especially with the house looking like that. o_O )

Aaand then I went home, in hopes of sweet, sweet sleep. Unfortunately, upstairs neighbors were having a party where they played some more of their bad music and with me only getting the base through the floor, it was a really annoying thumping. HOWEVER. That wasn't the worst. On the ground floor (you know, four floors down from me) the girl living there had her 25th birthday party. There was singing. and for some reason, what sounded like SEVERAL HAND DRUMS. I am sadly not kidding you. But it was okay. They stopped after half an hour. ...

Also: Dear makers of the delicious "Spicy Mexican chicken bites": Yum. Awesome Sunday lunch, and really crispy. However, not being an authority on Mexican food or anything, I can still say that the sweet chili sauce you sent with the chicken isn't usually something I'd associate with mexican food. But it was good.
