A bunch of stuff + pictures
Aug. 15th, 2008 11:00 amSo, the power adaptor came with the post (they tried to deliver it on monday, the ONE hour I left the house. Grrr.) So they delivered it on friday. It didn't work, and I wasn't surprised. I called Dell again and the guy I talked to was like, yeah we'll send a guy tomorrow. Which I thought was awesome and unexpected, that they were sending people out on weekends. He even left a message on my cell to confirm that the guy was coming 'tomorrow'.
So yeah, he didn't call or come by, which I was bummed out by, but not entirely surprised, more annoyed that I'd wasted half my Saturday and gotten up early. But a really nice guy came by Monday morning and fixed it. He changed the motherboard and the top of my computer and the trim around the screen - they had started to come apart at the bottom, so now it's good as new. :D
i kept the sticky cover on the top for a few days, but i had to spiffy it up. It looked so weird, cause I'm used to the other one. ( Look! )
I was in the middle of redoing the header for my new layout when the whole laptop thing happened, but now it's all done! :D :D :D Go see! my newest icon.
I wanted a coffee icon for the longest time, but I couldn't find the right picture. Then I thought to myself, I thought, 'Self,' I thought, 'why not take a picture yourself?' so here's a delicious cup of home-made coffee with heart-shaped brown sugar that my mom gave me.
Also, my orchid is in bloom and it's so pretty. ( Don't look, Noora. )
Also3, I was bored one night and decided to use this glittery eyeliner I have (that isn't really good as an eyeliner, cause you have to scrub it off) to do some 'henna' art on my hand.
( Turned out pretty well )
And lastly but definitely not leastly(totally a word), ( seperated at birth? )
I think they might be.
And that's it, I promise.

Tuesday afternoon I shaved my legs. I had my left leg up on the sink and the razor above my ankle. My foot slipped and I took off a strip of skin about 1x0,5 inch right above my ankle.
It's not deep, but it bled a lot. and it kept bleeding. and bleeding. ( I suspect I have thin blood. I seem to bleed a lot, when I do. ) it was still sort of bleeding yesterday afternoon. not as fast or as much, but definitly bleeding.
My mom always told me to not keep bandaids on during the night to let the wound air out, but as I said, it kept bleeding. also, it's a fairly big area, and I didn't want stuff to get in it, so I left it on.
This morning I woke up, and after putzing about for a while, I wanted to take the bandaid off and put a new one on - I actually would have left it, but there was a drop of something that ran from it - it was pinkish. (the bandaid I took off yesterday was very wet as well. is it infected? )
the problem:
it's stuck. I tried to take it off, but it really, really hurts.
for now, I've let it sit. I've wrapped some clean cotton wool around it, and then wrapped that in gauze, but please tell me what I'm supposed to do? (you're going to tell me that I have to take it off, right? >_< )
please halp!

Feb. 5th, 2008 05:16 pmwheee! going to my parents's tonight for dinner. mom sent me flowers cause she didn't want me feeling lonely. awwh momma.
( also what this means is that I now have four different flowers in my apartment. we shall see how long this lasts. )
mom's making my favorite dish, and since it is pancake day, also pancake. wheee!
Also, Steve Carlson sent me a happy birthday message on myspace. I realize that there's probably someone hired to send out birthday wishes to all his myspace friends, but it still made me feel special. :p
I'm catching up on eljay ( slowly, since there's fic to read too, yay! ) and chilling. lovely day so far. :D
