late morning lazy

ihearthings_iiSo, last week was a loss.
I waited around most of monday morning for someone to come and deliver my new power cord from dell. And then when it arrived, I still wasn't getting power on my laptop. >_< I called Dell the next day ( like, 6 times ) and first, I was put through to some guy who told me that it probably was my motherboard that was damaged, and sent me an email with an 'Out of warranty' offer --- somewhere around DKK 3000-4000+ ( somewhere in the $600-800+ vicinity ) to have it replaced.
I called again, and got a guy who agreed that yes, I do still have about 8 months of warranty, and that they'd 'send a guy' the next day. what he didn't tell me was when, so I was sort of panicky, caus I had a Teach Train lesson next day. I called as soon as possible in the moring, and got a yawning woman who told me that the tech guys call ahead to plan when which was nice to know. he came and fixed my puter, which now works.
he also told me that the reason why it had been broken ( and why my cord had broken as well ) was because you're apparently supposed unplug the cord from the powersource before you unplug it from the computer, which I never knew, and have done the other way around---- pretty much always. whoops?
anyway, it now works, and now also does that thing where the screen light dims when it's off power, which --- haha, I can't remember the last time it did that, which is probably also the reason why I thought the battery was dying since it could only stay for like, less than an hour on battery power alone.

bubbleforest recommended a sports store where they analyze your feet and legs while running on a treadmill, and find the shoes that are best for you --- and this is a free service, and the people analyzing are actual physical therapists - and I got some New Balance 768s which are awesome, and amazingly, my knees don't hurt when I'm running.
I also got a sports bra which is like--- hahaha, it's really, really good, there's like, no movement at all while I'm running, but it seriously just mashes my boobs close to my body in a way I have to get used to.
Also, running. did a little research, so I'm out for about 20-30 minutes. a good brisk walk to warm up, and then I sort of run for a minute and walk for 2ish lather, rinse repeat. I don't have the money to get a fancy running watch thingy right now, but I am planning on getting one. Right now I'm basing my time on songs - most of my running songs are about 3 minutes, so I run for what I think is a minute ( or until I can't run anymore. yes, I am that out of shape. ) and then walk for the rest of the song. so when I go 'running', what we're looking at is in reality <7 minutes of running and >14 minutes of walking.
ahahaha, oh well. last week I only did it once, I was just out this morning, and I plan to do it again --- maybe thursday or friday. At some point, I'll be able to run more than a minute, I hope. ;)
Also, started to have smoothies for breakfast. I am horrible at breakfasting. I really don't like most cereals ( the only one I really love is Cinnamon toast crunch which 1) I doubt is healthy, and 2) you can't get here ) and I have a tendency to eat leftovers for breakfast, so I cut up a kiwi, a banana, and blend with my stick blender with a little orange juice and some frozen fruit. it's tasty and also makes sure I get my daily helping of fruit, which I am otherwise rubbish at eating. ( if I had a person to peel and cut up fruit in bitesized pieces I would eat a lot more, but since I don't, I, uh. don't. )
also, that reminds me, I read a fic last night that was. uh, clearly written by a brit. Jensen and Jared kept ringing each other, and Jared went round the other man's flat and other stuff like that -- and it just throws me off. There's another fic, I think it's a WIP? that I sort of follow, where someone keeps saying 'mum'. It's annoying.
Staying home today pampering myself after the 'run' :P but I still have to read a whole book, so I better get to it and quit stalling. :D
... PS. just saw a picture of Jensen, and underneath it said, Jensen Ackles (getty images photo), and I thought it said, 'pretty images photo'. ahahahahaha. oh Jensen.
