(no subject)

So, last night I was on LJ, I was putting finishing touches on my new layout and I was chatting with adelate, and in the middle of the whole thing, my laptop made a pathetic little whine and shut down. I freaked out, but I hoped it was just overheating.

Noora called and as per her instructions I took out the battery, I'd already unplugged everything, and went to bed. This morning I woke up bright and early (little past 6), and still nothing. In fact, I couldn't even get the little green light on the power adaptor chord thingie to light up.

Cue panic. Tech support didn't open until 8, so I did some cleaning in the meanwhile. (my place is all tidy now. I guess that's something.)

Called tech Support the second they were open, and I talked to the nicest guy, who was super helpful and friendly, and not fully awake. He ran through everything with me, and he's sending me a new power adaptor. it probably won't get here until sometime mid-next week. Boo. (And even then, honestly, I don't think that will do it.) I don't get it. Both the adaptor and the motherboard are like, three months old!

Of course, I'm super lucky in that I have my old-timey stationary computer. ahahaha, seriously, the keyboard is so outdated, the keys are like ten inches long. Oh well.

Urgh. This is so unhandy. I can't read fic in bed anymore! or check my flist on the couch!
