Mmmmm, slanty.
huh. last day of the year. that went by too fast. and way too slow, too.
most of this year has beenslacking off working on my thesis, and I'm happy to say that about a week ago, I got a letter telling me that I'd passed. We're talking just, but I honestly don't care. If I'd done this now or in 10 years, I'm pretty sure the outcome would've been the same. ;P
Grandpa died yesterday. It's weird and anti-climatic. He's been sick for so long, but he's tough, and so many times this year we've had close calls where he surprised everybody and lived though it. Mom and dad went to see him a week ago, luckily. I'm... not as upset as I suppose I should be. Him and my mom's mom divorced before my mom was born, and he remarried not long after, and they have this big complicated family that we're staying out of as much as possible. He was always a kind and generous man, and I really only have good memories of him, but I've seen him maybe twice in the last five years.
New year's is going to be a quiet affair this year, not that I mind. Sis is coming by and 'm cutting her hair then we're watching the Queen's new year's speech and then having sushi at the place across the street, and after that to a party one of her friends is having - a girl called Maryah who is super nice.
So that's it. Bye 2008, you were stressful but nice too. Hello 2009, I have high hopes for you. If you don't let me down, I won't let you down. Deal?
