guys. GUYS. so, I went to school, cause sitting around here drove me insane. I was there like, three hours before I was supposed to, but it was kind of nice, and I hung out with some people I haven't seen in a while, and relaxed enough to feel hungry, and I had some breakfast, and I did only a minimum of that nervous last-minute reading where you really aren't reading, only tearing at the pages thing.

and then I realized that the examination was 45 minutes instead of 30, which made o_O and >_< all over the place.

then I went in and got my question - I had to choose one of the two Paul Auster books I'd put on my reading list, and I had to concentrate on one or two postmodern elements in in. I had 45 minutes to put it together, and then I realized I'd forgotten my alarm clock, so I had no clue how much time I had in preperation which stressed me out really bad.

The examination --- well I did what I always do in oral examinations, I speak really really really fast and make my point in about 10 minutes, and then I'm done. and my prof. had to ask me questions all the time which made me so nervous, cause that usually isn't a good thing.

BUT. BUT! god, when they had to discuss my grade ( and now the judges will deliberate.... ) I was a wreck. but I got a 9 ( B+/A- ish) for the exam itself, and then I got an 11 -- a friggin' 11!!!!! that's an A! for oral proficiency. ( teehee. wink wink, nudge nudge ) the 9 is super nice and great and good and far better than I had expected, but the 11? that's my final English Oral Proficiency grade. that's just. I am so fucking happy. They said that, I should really try and use more technical terms ( I know. I always get that one at oral exams, but I get so damn nervous, all my big words just. poof. ) but that my English was so fluent they thought I was a native speaker. *squee*

Congratulations! That is so fantastic! (And you do speak English like a native speaker, so you totally deserve that 11.)

awh! *blushes* thank you!! I was afraid that they'd call me out on the fact that when I speak, it's very colloquial, but they did mention it, but they said that my fluency made up for that. yay!

Eeeee! Congratulations hon. I read your post last night and hoped everything would go well for you. :)

It also reminded me of my days in college when I'd have a big test. ack! hated that worried/nervous feeling, and the funny thing is it usually wasnt half as bad as I thought it would be. lol

yay!! thank you so much! but the thing is, I don't think I've ever ( ever meaning, since I've started uni ) been *this* unprepared for an exam, so I was really quite. like. really didn't think it had gone very well.

Yay for you!!! I can't even imagine having to demonstrate the same proficiency in Danish that you handle so readily in English. It's nice to have such a smart and accomplished friend. {{{hugs}}}
